Question: Hi I am a 55 year old woman, went to see a gp last XXXXXXX for pelvic exam due to bladder prolapse . when doing exam she found a polyp on cervix but wasn't that worried. Just got an appointment through for next week to get it removed but worried its been there too long. Not having any bleeding or anything. Just really anxious that its cancer and its too late for me.

2) I dont see any reason to worry or panic.

3) This is unlikely to be cancer or any other disease.

4) There is a small procedure to remove it and send for biopsy to rule out cancer. Request for the same with your doctor.
