Hi, I Am 33 Yo, I Was Diagnosed With PCOS
I am 33 yo, i was diagnosed with PCOS. I have PCO nature enlarged ovaries (Ovaries were 12 and 15 ML in the last ultrasound), irregular periods (cycle is anywhere from 40 to 100 days) since i started to have periods at 14 years, normal FSH (5.8 or 5.9) measured 3 times and elevated AMH (7.6 ng/ml). all other hormones are normal (TSH, E2, prolactin, LH).
I am not planning to conceive now, but I need to understand how complex my situation is, and if it is medically among the patients with high success rates for responding to medications/stimulants or not.
You are likely to have high success rate with medicines.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
PCOD is a metabolic disorder and in your case since all the hormones are in normal range, there is not much to worry. The raised levels of AMH are not worrisome. Losing some weight in case you are overweight can bring back your cycles to normal.
In case you plan to conceive you can easily respond to the medical treatment. You can also start with supplements like Myo inositol to help decrease the hormonal disturbance.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
