Question: Hi Doctor,

I am 34 years male and moderately active ( Feb ‘2018 my weight was 93 Kgs now in October ’18 weight is 77 Kgs).

My Sugar and Cholesterol levels was high from some time, finally in Feb 2017 I met a Doctor regarding this, he had put me in Pivasta 4 Mg and Onderomet 2.5/500 Mg, when my Sugar levels did not went down in 3 months the medicine Onderomet 2.5/1000 was given to me. I am taking the medicine from last 17 months (Pivast 4 MG and Onderomet 2.5/1000), but seems like the Sugar level are controlled. Because of my travel, I am not able to meet the Doctor , I did the blood investigation a week back, below is the results and previous update also.. Please suggest the plan forward.

1. Do I need to continue with the same medicine?
2. What if Sugar level come down due to Onderomet 1000 MG dose?

Brief Answer:
Hi Sir, you can continue diabetic drug

Detailed Answer:
Hi sir, I have gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Sir your sugar levels are normal now. so the medicine suits you.. so continue same 1000mg tablet.
If the sugar levels still get reduced below normal levels, then you can reduce night time to 2.5/500mg and morning same 2.5/1000.

Coming to Pivasta. you can stop it for a while.
In future if cholesterol raises, then you can start Pivasta 2mg.

Thank you sir.
Have a good day

Thanks Doctor.

Is it possible that in future I will stop medicine? And come to normal (no diabetics category).

Brief Answer:
Hello sir

Detailed Answer:
Sir, usually that sort of reversal is not possible.

In some cases, rarely happens, during initial stages.

In your case that may not be possible. but there is a fair chance that the dosage may be reduced depending on sugar levels.

But as of now you need to continue the medication.

Thank you sir.
