Hi! A Few Weeks Ago, I Started Having A Small

Question: Hi!

A few weeks ago, I started having a small amount of bright red blood in my stool (not with every bowel movement, but fairly regularly). I’ve been more fatigued and have experienced some constipation. I think my stool is harder than normal, because my bowel movements just haven’t been as easy. I’m curious if I have cause for concern.

A little over a month ago, I drank a decent amount of alcohol on an empty stomach and got diarrhea. After a few days of diarrhea there was occasionally some blood when I wiped. I feel like my digestion hasn’t been quite right since then.

I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You may need colonoscopy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you should get further evaluated in order to find the real cause of blood in stools you are experiencing.
You should get examined by a doctor because haemorrhoids maybe a cause. They are varicose veins protruding from anus and can be felt as a mass and sometimes get ruptured causing bright red blood.
If this comes out not to be the cause I believe you may need to do a colonoscopy in order to check colon mucosa.
The causes may be inflammatory bowel disease ( colitis if chrohn) or even a tumoral mass.
So as a conclusion you need to have medical attention to determine the cause of colon bleeding.

Hope I have answered the question.

It is not urgent situation that you should go immediately but you can go to get checked on days. I think 22 is a bit late.
