Hello, Would Pancreatic Pain Present On The Left Side (right

Question: Hello, would pancreatic pain present on the left side (right under breast) and extend to the back and flank? I’ve had this pain for about 2 years now. I’ve had an ultrasound which said my pancreas was normal (although the tail was not well seen) and also a complete abdominal ct without contrast which also didn’t find anything wrong with the pancreas. My pcp did Lipase and amalyse both normal. Tests were a year ago. Pain started 2 years ago and it still comes and goes. Google tells me it could still me a glucagonoma. How likely could this be?

I am not a diabetic. My last blood sugar reason was 99. No skin lesions. I do have rashes under the skin folds of my breasts and belly but my dermatologist deemed them to be fungal in nature due to the size and because I am obese

Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
If your pain is due to recurrent acute pancreatitis, the amylase and lipase would be elevated and scan would show changes in pancreas.
If it is due to chronic pancreatitis, you may have diabetes and fatty/oily stool and scan would show changes in pancreas.
You do not have any of these and so your pain is not due to recurrent acute pancreatitis or chronic pancreatitis.

Glucagonoma is unlikely as diabetes is part of it and you are not a diabetic and other symptoms include skin lesions and diarrhea.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
