Brief Answer:
It could just be a sensitivity

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This seems to be just a local allergic reaction due to re-exposure to cat's saliva. I do not think its rabies or any other infection. Anyways your current rabies vaccination will be protective.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
It's better to take precautions

Detailed Answer:
Hi

In my opinion you should take precautions until diagnosis comes forth. From your description it doesn't seem something to panic about.
