Brief Answer:
CT scan of your paranasal sinus is showing paradoxical middle turbinate with concha bullosa.

Detailed Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the Ask A Doctor service.

CT scan of your paranasal sinus is showing paradoxical middle turbinate with concha bullosa. Middle turbinate is a bony structure covering a space in the lateral wall of nose. This space contains opening of multiple air paranasal sinus. These paranasal sinus is responsible for proper ventilation of ear in the nose.Generally middle turbinate is bent in the medial side. Paradoxical middle turbinate means that it has bent on its own in the opposite direction. It's just a variation which is normal. Nothing to worry about.

Concha bullosa means the middle turbinate sometimes gets pneumatised or filled with air cavity and get swollen. It is also a normal variation. But both the concha bullosa and paradoxical middle turbinate can sometimes block the normal drainage pathway of sinus and can result in sinusitis.
Your nasal septum is deviated to left but there is no bony spur or projection causing any obstruction. This is also normal deviation and nothing you worry about.

Brief Answer:
Hii Concha bullosa is pneumatised middle turbinate. It is air filled cavity

Detailed Answer:
Hii Concha bullosa is pneumatised middle turbinate. It is air filled cavity within the turbinate and can obstruct the opening of the sinuses. So there may be mucosal thickening or polyps in th sinus as secretions from the sinus can't be properly drained. So you can operated for the same, functional endoscopic sinus surgery as it is already pressing around your eyes.

Thank you, so it’s possible to have polyps and thickening even though the ct scan didn’t show it?

Brief Answer:
Hii. Its less likely to have polyps and mucosal thickening if CT scan don't

Detailed Answer:
Hii. Its less likely to have polyps and mucosal thickening if CT scan don't show it. Concha bullosa can lead to mucosal thickening in future. Better to take fluticasone spray, steam inhalation. If it's not resolving with it then you can go for surgery.
