Brief Answer:
Herpes Zoster

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
He has developed Herpes Zoster.
It's a viral infection similar to chicken pox.
It is a self limiting condition and will subside on it's own with supportive treatment however use of antiviral medication such can Acyclovir can help in faster recovery.
Pain will remain for at least 15 days.
Give him pain killers.
There is no need to panic as it is not a life threatening condition and even with treatment it will take at least 10 to 15 days for recovery.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you

Hi Dr XXXXXXX

Thanks for answering the question.

Is there any possibility that it could have been caused by insect bite? Because 2 days ago he started to feel itching on scalp and forehead and now the bristles are spreader to nose and the face is swollen? If it's a insect bite do we have to worry about it?
