Brief Answer:
Dyspepsia

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. The symptoms you describe would be consistent with dyspepsia, which can have many different causes, including peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), medications such as anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen, and even stress.

Considering you have this sensation of food getting stuck, I would suggesting seeing a doctor, so that you can get blood checked for anemia and be considered for an EGD, which is a scope they put through your mouth, down your esophagus, and can look at your stomach to see if there is anything causing this sensation. They may also be able to do biopsies to check for a bacteria that commonly causes dyspepsia called H. pylori. Alternatively, your doctor may want you to try taking a medication called a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole first to see if that takes care of your symptoms. Then if it persists, a scope would be done then.

For your constipation, I would recommend using Metamucil, or a laxative such as Miralax, with the goal of having one soft bowel movement a day, and see if that helps your symptoms. Your stool being green and sitting at the bottom of the toilet does not necessarily indicate any problem.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Yes, it is very common for symptoms to last a couple weeks or longer, especially if the factors causing the GERD aren't addressed. Hopefully with treatment (usually with a PPI medication like omeprazole) and avoiding foods that can make it worse (such as spicy foods, acidic foods like citrus fruits, tomato-based products, chocolate, or anything with caffeine in it), it should improve within a few weeks.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be glad to help any way I can.

my stool changed up now I poop more often in small amount little pieces some food seems not well digested and I see small amount of mucus does that change anything?

Brief Answer:
No

Detailed Answer:
Not really, I can't think of any way it would be connected to your GERD or stomach issues at all. One possibility is that you also have irritable bowel syndrome, which can often be caused by stress. If it persists you can be put on medication to relax the intestinal muscles, but it isn't anything dangerous so there's no need to do anything right away, you can just wait and see how it progresses.
