Hello. I Recently Had An MRI Showing The Following Results.
C5-C6: There is degeneration desiccation of the intervertebral disc space with loss of height and a broad-based disc osteophyte extending to the foramina bilaterally. Mild effacement of the thecal sac is noted. Mild central stenosis is noted. No significant foraminal stenosis is identified.
There is straightening of the normal cervical lordosis. The visualized bone marrow fails to demonstrate any evidence of an occult fracture or bone marrow bruise. Multilevel degenerative disc disease is identified. The posterior fossa appear normal. The brainstem appear normal. The cervical cord appear normal.
I will start with conservative treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read your complaints and MRI Report also.
In my opinion you are suffering from degenerative disc disease , in cervical spine.
In my practice I treat all with conservative treatment and majority do well . Only a small percentage requires surgical intervention who have unrelieved pain with signs of spinal cord compression.
I start with pan killers, muscle relaxants and medicines like pregabalin along with physiotherapy.
I suggest you try treatment as suggested for at least a month , then we can discuss again.
Thanks for the question. I hope to have answered your question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
