Hello. I Have Painful Lumps On The Bottom Of My

default
Posted on Sat, 4 May 2019
Question: Hello. I have painful lumps on the bottom of my feet. Started shortly after neuropathy of feet and ankles. At first like standing on small pebbles and more painful with dehydration (live in hot climate). Recently was prescribed furosemide and spironolactone-e for another condition but these increased pain and size of lumps. Have discontinued these but lumps still large and painful. Podiatrist I have known for some time doesn't have an answer. Any ideas for treatment? Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
May be plantar fibromas.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice

As per your history it may be plantar fibromas. If possible kindly attach lump images.

Please let me know do you have history of injury or trauma, fever, ulcers over feet or fluid filled lumps?

To confirm diagnosis I would suggest you to do MRI feet after detailed medical examination and surgeon's opinion.

Till then you can take tablet acetaminophen 500 mg three times a day. Local steroid injection may helpful. Apply ice and do regular physical therapy.

In case of not getting relief, I would suggest you surgical removal of lumps after surgeon consultation.

Let me know I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.
