Hello I Have Had A Round Small Sore With A

Question: Hello I have had a round small sore with a hole in the middle of it. For about 4 days now and it has produced another sore similar to it, on the right side on my outer bottom lip. It was in the middle first. It look like it was chapped lip with a crack in it and then it turned into a store or I should say a round circular sore with the hole in the middle. The one in the middle bottom lip is starting to heal slowly but another one has come up on the right. And it is right next to it where there was a crack there also. I'm trying to figure out what this is so I can put the right stuff on it to help it to heal. Also I've been using Vaseline. I rarely get cold sores on my lips. But I do have a bad habit after showering taking a hot cloth and rubbing my lips every morning too hard to get the dead skin off that I have from overnight. Not a lot of dead skin just the normal that anybody would have on their lips in the morning. Sometimes I would rub so hard that my list would be raw and that would cause a problem with my lips being subject to being dry. I do have herpes for over my whole life but like I said before never do get sores on my lips.

Brief Answer:
Granuloma formation due to hard rubbing and small cracks

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the photos.
This looks to be a condition called granuloma formation after minor injury. Can occur on lip as the skin growth is faster in this area and the tissue tries to heal it faster.
This is basically due to your habit of rubbing the lips as you have mentioned.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Stop rubbing on the lips for the time-being.
You can apply Vaseline too avoid loss of wetness.
This should heal soon.

I hope this answers your query ad helps you to avoid recurrence.
Take care.
