Question: Having been advised by GP to see Rhumatologist because of blood markers showing immune system problem as well as rash on legs periodically after standing long time, I must choose between waiting until January before local ones are available; a possibility exists for me to see a MD who is board certified in Internal Med, Allergy & IMMUNOLOGY. He is a Fellow of FACAA also. Should I see him instead, or at this stage of life, does it matter to wait until January, given probably no aggressive treatment will be diagnosed?

Brief Answer:
Kindly upload the test results or provide the diagnosis the doctor is suspecting, so we can better determine how soon you should start treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor' service,

I carefully read your query and understand your concern.

There are many immune diseases that may affect our bodies and some need more urgent intervention and others are not so serious.

It is important for us to know which is the diagnosis that your doctor is suspecting to be the cause of your symptoms as many immune conditions may cause a skin rash.

In this case, it is very important for us to have blood test results or if you could provide us with the diagnosis the doctor told you may have. So, I request that you attach the test reports (especially the abnormal ones) so we can further guide you related to your medical inquiry.

I hope the hear from you soon.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
