Question: Have experienced two brief episodes of nystagmus in the last month. May have had one previous episode about ten years ago. Each episode accompanied by 24 to 48 hours of mild, not disabling, dizziness. Am 72 years old and, otherwise, in good health. One low dose aspirin per day.

Possibility of transient ischemic attacks or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is likely.
Is there any associated speech change, ataxia, deglutition difficulty or limb weakness?
Positional and postural relationship of vertigo may be due to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
Get evaluated by a neurologist or ENT specialist.
Drugs like cinnarizine or dimenhydrinate can be useful.
Continue taking aspirin.
