Had Knee Replacements In Same Knee. Had Pain And Stiffness With Swelling And Leg Is Crooked. Solution?

default
Posted on Fri, 18 Oct 2013
Question: I have had 2 total knee replacements in the same knee. The first time the doc put in a replacement that was too big and I had a lot of pain and stiffness. After several years of searching, I found a very good doc who put in the right size knee. However, it is now 1 1/2 years later and my knee is still painful and swollen and my leg is crooked. I have been to a ton of PT. (BTW-I also have fibromyalgia). Is there any solution to this problem? I won't have another replacement in that knee. Thank you. XXXXX

I am sorry to hear that you had two unsuccessful knee replacements

I agree with you that you should not go for another knee replacement surgery

2- out of 100 how is the pain now?
3- How far were you able to walk before 1st operation?
4- How far can you walk now?
5- Any back pain?
6- Any numbness or tingling or burning sensation in your leg?
7- Do you have the pain in your knee all the time or just on walking?
