Good Evening, I Am A 21 Yo Female. I Am

Question: Good evening,
I am a 21 yo female. I am having issues with my periods and cycles. Since high school, they have been pretty irregular, missing a month or two here and there. It then progressed to missing about three months, and recently I missed 7 months. There is never any spotting or anything like that present.
When I missed 7 months, all pregnancy tests I took were negative. I finally got it on August 10th 2019 but it only lasted roughly 4 days. Now, I am missing my periods again and haven't had one since August.
Yes, I am sexually active and have only had one partner if that helps at all.
I haven't been to a doctor because I do not have insurance but do not qualify for assistance.
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks!

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for letting us know your health concern.

I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information.

From your description, it appears that you are experiencing hormone imbalances ever since menarche. This can be due to several reasons, the most common being PCOD.

For a proper evaluation and management, you need a clinical exam. Please see to it as soon as possible.

Irregular ovulation or absence of ovulation are mostly observed in situations like yours. This is why pregnancy is rare.

You can try weight management, healthy diet and regular exercise to help regularize the cycles.

You need hormone assays, sonogram of the pelvis and blood counts along with urinalysis to detect the cause.

Hope you find this information useful. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
