Question: Good afternoon, I’m a 28 y/o male in decent health, active 6 days a week. Mostly heavy lifting. I’ve been having some pain in the upper right part of my stomach it comes and goes and it doesn’t hurt bad I can just kinda feel it. This has been about 2 weeks. I thought at first maybe it was a muscle but very recently my stool started to lighten up. I’m embarrassed to say that even after 8 years active duty I’m scared of doctors so I thought I’d try this method first. Thank you for your time and what you do to help others.

Brief Answer:
possible hepatobiliary issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
This pain may be related to abdominal muscle injury but it would manifest with pain provoked by movements and exercise and it would not be related to stool changes. Paleer stool with such pain may indicates issues with liver and biliary system such as biliary stones, hepatitis . Or it may be related to diet changes or irritable bowel syndrome.
At this point, you should not worry. YOu can wait and see if new symptoms will develop, try to have easier diet, avoid alcohol.
If there is no improvement, I suggest to check liver markers and do liver ultrasound. If this is fine, you should consider endoscopy.
WIsh you good health. Regards
