Good Afternoon, I Was Gathering My Medicals And Reviewed A
Question: Good afternoon,
I was gathering my medicals and reviewed a report for an echocardiogram that was performed in April 2018. I see that in the 'Findings section' (along with other results) it states: 'Primary Pulmonary Hypertension of 40mg Hg'.
In the Conclusion Section it states: Lt & Rt Carotid mild thickening with small layer of plaque, generalized artherosclerosis w/o stenosis. - That is it and I was told for a 60yr old woman this was normal, no follow up needed. BUT, the Primary Pulmonary Hypertension stood out to me as I have not had high blood pressure? So I looked it up and many sites say anything over 25-30 mm Hg is a cause for concern and treatment is needed? Please advise. Thank you1

Routine physical 1 1/2 yrs ago unremarkable.
I have no current conditions of any kind. I do not take any meds.
As of last physical I did not have high blood pressure and I do not believe I do so now.
I do not have symptoms except a little winded climbing many stairs, etc.
I have not smoked in well over 20 years
No history of any disease or immune disorder
Should this have been brought to my attention or listed in the conclusion for follow up?
