Brief Answer:
Occipital neuralgia

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

It seems that a branch of left occipital nerve is geting pinched. It could be related to your posture that is affecting the spine in the neck. There could be many other causes. You should try to figure out the cause and address it.

You can also take vitamins like Neurobion forte once daily to strengthen the nerves. Get blood tests done to check the levels of vitamin B12, calcium, vitamin D and take supplements accordingly

To relieve the pain, you may do the following:
- Apply warm cloth to the painful area
- Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg.
- Tab Ospo-C once a day for 3 days to strengthen the vertebral bones. If this helps, thenit can be continued once every month thereafter.

If the above doesnot help, then please see a neurologist.

Dr Vaishalee
