Do Oxymorphone, Atorvastatin, Oxycodone And Cyclobenzaprine Cause False Positive Result For Benzodiazepine?
Question: hi I failed a drug test for benzo..I take oxycodone, oxymorphone,atorvastatin,ranitidine,cyclobenzaprine,hydroxyz hcl, metformin, ferris sulfate,lisinopril,ibuprofen.i haven't took anything else.please help getting violated my last month of house arrest
the only thing different I have started taking is the atorvastatin,ive had metformin but up dosage 2 weeks ago after told my sugar was up., the past 2 weeks I have tried to take my meds regular because I was going for follow up on cholesterol, and metromin for my sugar being up and ferrus sulfate because I'm bou to have surgery

It isn't easy if the test is done quite well. There are not very often false positives.
In the immunoassay test, the drugs sertraline (ZOLOFT) and DAYPRO will give a false positve for benzodiazepine. If you take those, the urine test will show up as benzodiazepine even if you are not taking it.
HOWEVER, the test can come up positive in those who are not taking zoloft nor daypro and we don't know why; this may happen up to 10% of the time.
