Can One Take Fertigyn During The 3rd Month Of Pregnancy?

Question: My wife who is three month pregnant is advised by one doctor to take Fertigyn 5000 injection, while other said that there is no need. In double marker test her probability is 1:243 for tryosym 21. Before she has suffered from Chronic PID i.e. cyst in ovary. Sonography is normal. Suggest what to do

At three months pregnancy, if the ultrasound scan shows a normal growing baby then there is no need of fertigyn injections as after 14 weeks, the placenta takes over the function of sustaining the pregnancy.
Do get her triple marker test done to rule out trisomy 21.

Should we go for NIPT to test the chances of Down syndrome?
