Can Constipation Lead To Lower Back Pain?

Question: I have a sharp pain in my lower back. Could this be from constipation? my last bowel movement was three days ago.

Yes, this is most likely from constipation. I recommend you take Dulcolax for relief. Also, adjust your diet incorporating more fluids, fruits, fibers and vegetables. Also, regular exercise would help prevent and relieve constipation.

I took an enema this morning. I had my first bowel movement in 3 days. I still have severe lower back pain on the right. and cramps in abdomen. what do you recommend?

I recommend you take Buscopan as needed for the pain. This may cause dry mouth and you shouldn't be alarmed as it would resolve as soon as you stop taking it.
