Question: Hello Doctor,

My mother is 65 years old and is taking the following tablets for her kidney disorder -

Panzop 40mg
Oxycal CT
Clopitab 75mg
Rencap
Zytanix 2.5mg
Bistla
Orofer XT
Atorva 20mg
Dytor 10mg

Due to acute shortage of RENCAP - can she use RENOSAVE as an alternative?

Is it safe and would there be any side effects?

Brief Answer:
Hi do not worry

Detailed Answer:

Hi XXXXXXX

Rencap is a multiviamin tablet containing b complex vitamins

even if you miss it for few days it will not impact the disease or the health of the patient.

RENOSAVE

It is n acetyl cystine and taurine - it is not same as renocap. It is used in patients with slowly progressive creatinine without any specific cause for this rise.

both tablets are different and you cannot substitute the 2nd one for the first.

instead you can take any other B complex Vitamin tablet .

Best wishes,
