Can Cyclopam Be Given For Excessive Crying In An Infant?

Question: Female baby aged two and half months is continuously crying ( at XXXXXXX ).Can we use cyclopalm drops?If so what is the dosage?Is there any other alternate drug?

Cyclopam contains dicyclomine an anticholinergic/antispasmodic and better it should be avoided in babies below 6 months of age because of possible side effects like dyness of mouth, irritability etc.
The better option is simethicon given for flatulence which is the main cause of colic and excessive cry in infants.
The dose of simethicon is 10 drops in babies less than 6 months of age.Please consult a pediatrician as this is a prescription medication.
If crying persists even after giving the medication please get him evaluated by a pediatrician to rule out other causes.
