Question: Alhamdulilah
few days ago, I woke up at XXXXXXX and went to the toilet (toilet is of the squatting type), when I finished and went for the sink, washed my hands, during this I begin to lose myself like what happens in postural hypotension, suddenly I went unconscious and when I woke up, I was lying flat on my back on the floor, back of the head was hurting not so bad, and lower back hurts slightly more than my head, however, head pain ceased after 2 hours, but glute/lower back pain continued the whole day, thd next day pain was much less in my lower back, 3rd day pain is gone but if I try to run or jump (specificaly jumping) it aches, I can endure that pain but it is a discomfort

4th day now and pain in my lower back is even less

I hope I haven%E2%80%99t catched a brain injury or some vertebral injury

I should also mention, I%E2%80%99ve had a head injury 12 years ago when I flipped from a bicycle, went to hospital for suturing and stuff at that time

now I%E2%80%99m 25 years old

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

As per your symptomatology, you had an altered consciousness which was regained after a short period of time.
This happens when the blood supply of brain is interrupted transiently.

This can be due to hypotension(decreased BP),arrhythmias(interruption of brain perfusion due to missed beat of heart),heart failure(heart not being able to generate adequate cardiac output),brain micro infarction etc.

As you don't have residual motor and sensory deficit,it seems that it was more of a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) where some blood clot obstructs brain supply for a few moments and then passes off so that blood supply is again restored.

Kindly share if you have any co morbidities like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, dyslipidaemia or heart disease.

You need a complete neurological examination and evaluation in the form of ECG,2D Echo,Carotid Doppler,Brain MRI,Fasting Blood sugar levels and thyroid profile.

For the body ache (due to fall),you can take NSAIDs like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
