A Little Less Than A Week Ago I Started Walking

default
Posted on Sat, 11 Apr 2020
Question: A little less than a week ago I started walking up with my left siding tingling (no numbess though) and my heart would throb a bit when it was beating occasionally when lying in bed (not painful but disconcerting). I assumed it was from sleeping on my left side. Last night I woke up with my left side numb but this time it has not gone away. It has lessened but my left chest feels a bit sore and my left hand and foot are still lightly tingling). I am 37, 6"1, 260 pounds with a poor diet, lots of fast food over the last week due to the caronavirus. It has been about 12 hours now so I doubt it is anything too bad as I feel fine other than those symptoms. I also developed a cough about the same time. I was cleaning my house and found mousing droppings in my kitchen also, unsure if it could be related. No fever or headache. No dexterity issues in hands or feet.

Brief Answer:
The symptoms does not seem to be related to each other

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The tingling in the left side can be related to many medical conditions.
I recommend to do an electrocardiogram to exclude a cardiac cause.
I also recommend doing a chest x ray to evaluate the lung conditions.
In my opinion, the tingling can be related to a pinched nerve due to sleeping on the left side.
It doesn't seem to be related to the cough.
We can exclude a viral infection, based on the fact that you don't have any fever.
I recommend to take anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the tingling sensation.
I also recommend to drink liquids and take a cough suppressant such as Dexometorphan.

Hope my answer was helpful.

Kind regards!
