my daughter is a premature baby, birth weight was 2.3kg, upon our pediatrician's advice, we gave even pre-nan along with breast feed, now her weight is 2.8 kg..
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
What is her present age?
At present you can continue exclusive breast feeds if the breast milk is sufficient.
Monitor her weight gain over a time, urine output to know the sufficiency of your feeds.
Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.
which baby feed formula is best NESTLE NAN PRO 1 or LACTOGEN 1 for weight gain of my 2month old preterm twin babies weighing 1.7 kg and 2.5 kgs respectively?
ist one is the good choice s the nescle formula is hypo allergic and does not cause igh preesure pn child digestive system and its absorption of milk
baby born at 32 weeks wth1.1 kg wt she is 7 mnths & 5 kg. on nestle nan comfort formula and nestum.poor eater.. Only 500 ml formula+ 2 x cereal.adviz me
Your preterm's intake will depend upon whether the baby had any other problem like chronic lung disease. Ivh etc.
For 1.1 kg at birth ,now 5 kgs is not too bad.
Try some high protein high calorie diet to supplement.
Hope the mile stones according to corrected age are OK.
You can add juices now,,boiled apple ( puree) ,mashed potato, etc.
