Is Arm And Leg Flailing A Side Effect Of Taking Depakote, Prednisone And Tegretol?

My daughter is 7 years old and started taking genaric Depakote sprinkle 125 mg last night and she did not sleep well last night, she was flaling her arms and legs randomly through the night, and she has been incredibely mean and easily agitiated today. She is also taking 20 mg of Prenisone twice a day for a drug reaction to genaricTegretol since Sunday. Are these behaviors side effects of either medication or from the combination of the medications?

It is highly possible that this could be due to side effects of medications. Sometimes combination of medicine can lead to interaction and causes side effects. Use of Tegretol and Depakote together will the level of depakote in the blood. Prednisolone will decrease the level of Tegretol in blood. So I would recommend you to approach your doctor for review of medication your daughter is taking.
