Hi, I'm having persistent coughs that are at times very deep coughs. Mucus is present at times and it all started when I was knocked below my Adam's apple.
It seems that you have hurt your trachea in the neck below Adam's apple causing inflammation (Tracheitis ).Subsequent superadded bacterial infection and spread down into the lower respiratory tract is causing deep coughs associated with mucus.A course of suitable broad-spectrum antibiotic with mucolytic for at least 05 days will relieve symptoms.
