Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
With the symptom of numbness as well as tingling it sounds much more as if this is a nerve entrapment.
That means that somewhere along the line of the nerves that supply this part of your hand, there is some pressure on a nerve
I suggest you to get it evaluated by your doctor for thorough examination. After examination your doctor may advice you for NCV/EMG test to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope this helps you. You can consult me again directly through my profile http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-saurabh-gupta/64132
