What Does Swollen Neck Glands With Dry Cough Indicate?

I think I have relapse mono. I got when I was 37, and lasted really long time, on and off for 3 years or so. I am now 53. I go really sick 1st week in Jan and never got well completely. My throat never got better. my lymph, neck glands swollen and sore, tonsils white and dry cough, always low grade fever mostly felt in glands, very tired and overall feeling of illness. Some problem breathing. I am really worried. I got test but negative... maybe too early?? I also have herpes virus, type 1 and 2. I may have throat herpes?? I saw something on line about it! What do you think?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
This can have an underlying problem in the sinuses. All sinus problems may not be directly showing the symptoms. of sinusitis, instead can show secondary things like this.
I would such a patient to go for a proper ENT evaluation with endoscopy, CT Sinuses. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology ( FNAC) of the lymph nodes can help to have a probable diagnosis.
Always go for 3 weeks of antibiotic course.
May be a blood culture and sensitivity report sometimes help to get a diagnosis and proper treatment.
