General & Family Physician Dr. Radhika Thyagaraju's  Response
dry cough can be due to allergy, drugs like anti hypertensives etc.
i would advise you to consult a physician regarding this to evalute the same.
in the mean time are you already on any medications as some medications can cause dry cough?
do take some losenges, gargle your mouth with antiseptic mouth wash.
if symptoms worsen call your emergency number.

Cardiologist Dr. Naresh Ruparelia's  Response
Hi well come to HCM.
Dry cough could be due to upper respiratory tract infection or irritation. Could be due
to allergy, tonsilitis or pharyngitis. Intially you may try with cough suppresant like
lozenges, syrup containing . Gargling with salt and luke warm etc.
And may take some paracetamol in case of pain.If it persists you may add antibiotic
effective on URTI LIKE azithromycin, rocxithromycin, ampicilin with cloxacilin after
consulting your doctor and clinical examination if he agrees for. Thanks
