My mom is 49 yrs old. She had a blood test done today. Her cholestrol level is 240. Is it dangerous? Can you provide me with the tips to reduce cholestrol. Does she has to take medicine?

Hi
Normal blood cholestrol level ranges less then 200mg /dl,levels more then 230mg/dl increases the chance of heart disease and other complications,so she should avoid fatty meals, regular morning walk, avoiding junk foods can be helpful but she should consult her doctor for prescription medicine for high cholestrol.
Regards.
