Would It Be Prudent To Test Liver Function?

would it be prudent to test liver function (blood test) -- given Lipase has been trending upwards (just above normal) Amylase trending lower (although in range), vitamin D -- low requested to take supplements, and EUS performed was normal. I m thinking these results could be related to liver, am I on the right track?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all I would like to know about your symptoms. Lipase and Amylase are typically elevated three times above normal in acute pancreatitis. Liver function tests should be done only if indicated. Just above normal Lipase levels is not an indication. Will like to get back to you with more details of your health issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
