Hello! Yes, your concern is very true. Raised creatinine level indicates either obstructive uropathy or Medico-renal disease i.e. obstruction to urine outflow or dysfunction of parenchyma (functional tissue) of kidneys. Obstruction can be due to many causes like stones/strictures/growths or pressure on urinary tubes (ureters/urethra) from outside i.e. growths from surrounding structures like rectum/uterus/colon etc. In my clinic, I advise X-ray KUB, ultrasound abdomen & pelvis, urine routine, renal function tests, serum uric acid.
