Hi,

Renolog tablets contain Alpha Ketoanalogue, which is a nutritional supplement used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease to delay the progression of the disease and prevent an increase in urea levels in the blood. Alpha Ketoanalogue is a modified form of essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. When taken with a low-protein diet, Alpha Ketoanalogue can help reduce the workload on the kidneys and slow down the progression of kidney damage.

In your case, your doctor may have prescribed Renolog tablets to help reduce your serum creatinine levels. Serum creatinine is a measure of kidney function, and high levels can indicate kidney damage or dysfunction. Renolog tablets may help reduce the workload on your kidneys and slow down the progression of kidney damage, which can help reduce your serum creatinine levels over time.

It is important to take Renolog tablets as prescribed by your doctor and to follow a low-protein diet while taking the medication. Renolog tablets may interact with other medications, so it is important to inform your doctor of all current medications you are taking. It is also important to monitor your kidney function regularly and to report any changes in your symptoms or side effects to your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
