Will The Smoking Of Marijuana Aggravate Pericarditus?

Hello, I have a mild case of pericarditus, possibly due to SLE but not yet confirmed. I am a long-time smoker of marijuana, but I stopped 6 months ago as it aggravated my chest pain. I am wondering if marijuana smoking is dangerous if I have a pericarditus, and if I'll ever be able to smoke again? Thanks.

Hi There

MARIJUANA is habit forming herb which comes with a long list of side effects. If you have succeeded in getting over that addiction from the last 6 months why you want to go back to it.

Smoking Marijuana can increase your heart rate by as much as two times for up to 3 hours. Thats why some peple have a heart attack right after they use marijuana. It can also increase bleeding risk, lower blood pressure, and affect your blood sugar levels.

Yes its a irritant and can cause relapse of your PERICARDITIS. So its advisable that you stay away from smoking marijuana or any other substance abuse.

I wish you good health
