General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

They are unlikely to cause fertility problems. Experimental studies in animals have shown evidence of birth defects or other malformations in the off springs following the exposure of hormonal contraceptives during their pregnancy. However, in human beings such studies have failed to support such harmful effects in the new born babies following intake of oral contraceptives pills by the mothers.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
