Hello
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Follow-up care is very important after treatment for
pituitary tumors.
Even if you have completed treatment, your doctors will still want to watch you closely.
You should know that ,it’s common to develop pituitary hormone deficiencies after surgery.
Since your body is unable to make some or all of the pituitapy hormones, life-long
hormone replacement therapy is necessary.
The presence of 1 or more hormone deficiencies determines medication choice.
Replacement therapy needs to be monitored and adjusted, for this reason it is very important the close follow up with your treating pediatric
endocrinologist.
Gonadotropin deficiency requires the replacement of estrogen or
testosterone, timed with the onset of puberty.
Males (as in your case)are given testosterone replacement by an injection every two to four weeks and this will help to have normal puberty.
Hormone replacement therapy is safe and effective.
-If you take correctly the Hormone Replacement Therapy , you will be able to develop normally. This is sure. So,don't worry, just be correct with the therapy.
Hope i have clarified all your doubts.
If you have other questions, feel free and ask.I will be happy to help.
Regards.
