Will Air Travel Affect The Infant's Umbilical Hernia?

My 9 month old has umbilical hernia. Can flying make it worse? He has no other health issues he is 30" long and 20lbs. The hernia has gotten worse since he started crawling, standing and attempting to walk. I've been told it will probably close on it's own over the next few years, however it started making audible squish sounds over the last week (he seems to be in no distress) and I wasn't sure if the changes in pressure while flying could cause an issue.
