Will ERITEL Cause Any Side Effects?
My mother is 77 yrs old and had suffered an aneurysm in the brain due to hypertension. She underwent a procedure called coiling.She has been prescribed ameliodipine twice a day . However she developed a swelling in her feet. On consultation the doctor prescribed ERITEL 40 mg once instead of ameliodepine. 2. Can u pls intimate the side effects of ERITEL and the advantage vis-a-vis use of ameliodipine.

Eritel contains telmisartan which is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Lowering blood pressure helps to prevent future heart attack and stroke. This medication is also effective in preserving kidney function in patients with diabetes. Side effects of Eritel are nausea, vomiting, back pain, sinus infection, upper respiratory tract infection, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, low blood pressure, weakness, muscle pain, abdominal pain, difficulty or painful urination, changes in vision, fever, allergic reactions etc.
