Why Had Sore Throat And Breathing Difficulty After Stopping Synthroid For Hashimotos?

I have hashimotos and take synthroid 88mcg for 3 years ....I went through a period where I thought I was getting better and stopped my synthroid for 4 days I felt fine for 2-3 day then work up with a sore throat Lower are of throat and difficulty swallowing could this have been from stopping my synthroid ? I started it back and with in 48 hours did not notice the sore throat I am 47 years old was hoping not to have to deal with this the rest of my life :(

Endocrinologist 's  Response
You stop the Synthroid for 4 days, the result can be the hypothyroid state. But sore throat and dificulty of breathing are not common signs of hypothyroidism ...it is more like a flu.Anyway my advice is to never stop the synthroid any more.It is vital for you.
