Why Do I Have Cramping? Is It Associated With Breastfeeding? Normal?
Hello, I am 8 weeks postpartum and have been experiencing cramping for the last 3-4 days as well as a kind of nervous knotty feeling in my stomach on and off. I am breastfeeding so haven t been expecting to get my period any time soon but I felt like the cramps were the same as periods in the past, just no bleeding this time. Is this normal?

Hi.It can be normal Just as you feed there is crampy feeling and and involution of uterus and other pelvic structures which happens in 6 weeks time usually . Check if you have some stomach infection. Moreover, take due precautions and check for pregnancy test also. Lactation amenorrhoea does occur but you can re conceive in this period. Take some anti-spasmodic for the time being.
