The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to Respiratory tract infection.
Investigations like complete blood count and X-ray of chest & paranasal sinus will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis. As your nasal mucosa is congested & the olfactory component is deranged, you are appreciating the metallic taste in mouth.
Management includes: 1. Steam inhalation. 2. Anti-tussive preparation for symptomatic control of cough. 3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports. 4. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief. 5. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet. 6. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.
Your symptoms will be relieved with this. Wish you good health & a speedy recovery. Take care.
