Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am throwing up green bile with no other systems other than nausea. I went to the ER twice and on my last visit they gave me protonix and something for nausea. they found a doctor that accepts my insurance, but he can not see me until 7/11. The ER told me to stay on a clear liquid diet until then. I still work full time, please advise if this is a good idea to do clear liquids while I am working production all day and what this could possible be. they said possible hiatal hernia. Thank you.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. Your symptoms may be suggestive of gallbladder stones so you should do at least ultrasound or CT scan to evaluate it more accurately. This is caused by stone in bile duct and is very common condition. You need to change your dietary habits first. Need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. If there is no improvement on lifestyle or dietary changes, then surgery is recommended.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
