Why Am I Feeling Sore And Itchy After Intercourse During Pregnancy?

Hi I m 24 weeks pregnant & after recently forcing myself to have sex with my husband I m feeling sore throbbing & all very itchy I m not sure if it s cause I shaved or what else it may be, I don t have another appointment for 3 weeks so advice really appreciated

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion there will be decreased secretions in the vagina leading to less lubrication during the intercourse during pregnancy.So it might be the cause of soreness.If the itching is associated with white curry discharge then it suggests fungal infection and you might need treatment for this.Otherwise nothing to worry.Decreased sexual interest is also common in a few people in pregnancy.
