Why Am I Bleeding Post Mirena Insert?

Hi.. I had the mirena coil fitted 10 days ago. I have been bleeding for the last 8 days... I stopped slightly for one day in the middle but now the blood is just like I have cut myself blood.. bright red.
I have had the mirena before and never had this. Is it normal? And how long could it go on for.

Nothing to worry about, You should eventually get back to normal.

Take multi vitamin and calcium supplements
