Why After IUI Doctor Say To Do Intercourse?
hello doctor my name is ashish me and my wife are visiting gynagologist since 1 and half year we had IUI total 6 times and doctors saying you have no problem neither your wife and this is unexplained that why you are not getting pregnant even she had an HSG now doctor are saying to go for laparoscopy , i want to know when we have no problems then why should we have to undergo all the tests and more importantly why we can not have in a natural intercourse because after going through the report she said that even if you keep intercourse doing you will not get pregnent so go for IUI and after doing IUI they suggest for intercourse my question is that when by intercourse she can not be pregnent then why after IUI they say to do intercourse.

Hi,ashish,thanks for query.During IUI the husband`s semen is directly put in into the female,the idea is to put good quality sperms directly inside and avoiding local cervical factors or some sperm factors that may be hampering the sperm migration inside.Avoidance intercourse is advised to have good quality sperms for procedure.Yes,you should go for laproscopy as some time you may find a reason for not conceiving though reports are normal.Apart from this please get her thyroid test done after discussion with your doctor.No cause of found and not conceiving is very common,this is place where god plays a role.I think now there is no logic for further IUI.

if both of you are having normal parameters and and no sexual problem between you ther is every possibility of having pregnancy with natural sex
wife having ovulation and patent tubes with normal motile sperm in the passage are requirements for pregnancy to occur
some times post coital motility of sperms from post fornix pool is to be done to find compatibility of sperm of husband and wife's cervical secretions
treatment of infertility is continued process and you can attend infertility clinic of repute
laparoscopy is also an investigative procedure and mostly done to know the conditions of ovary and tubes which may help in treatment of infertility
keep hope and get treatment for the result
