Which Day Of Cycle Is Best For PCT Test?

my doctor has given me HCG injection of 10000mg on 14th day of cycle my follicle size is 18 on right and 15 on left on 13 days doctor has called me for PCT test on 16th or 17 th day ...which day will be best 2 go n what is PCT test n wht will after pct test.....

Hi,

There is little confusion in your question regarding the time of test to be performed. Anyhow according to your history the possibilities are:
- PCT test: if it is on 16th and 17th day of menstrual cycle can, then possibly post coital test which is performed to test the reaction of the cervical mucus to spermatozoa.
- PCT test: If the test is advised 13 days after ovulation possibly it could be a pregnancy confirmation test, which is done to confirm the pregnancy.
- PCT test: Procalcitonin test is done to confirm the infection in the body. This may not be the test mentioned by your doctor.

Please discuss these things with your doctor and proceed according to her advice.
