When Will I Start Bleeding After Taking MTP Kit?

hi docter, i had given to my wife the Mtp kit because her period date was on 28th Feb i waited for 5 day after that i checked its comes postive then i had taken from medical MTP kit and she taken wht time she will get period & if there is any side affect

Understand your concern
For safe and successful abortion MTP kit should be used under medical surveillance of gynecologist as chance of complication and risk of failure high in self medication use. Pre abortion USG scan is needed to confirm pregnancy nature ( as MTP pill used for intrauterine pregnancy yolk sac in the uterus cavity) and gestational age of pregnancy (safe up to 63 days). Mifepristone orally should be followed by misoprostol vaginally by gynecologist after 48 hour.

Normally bleeding will start 30-60 minutes after using misoprostol pill and it lasts for 4-5 days as whole abortion process (passing ob blood clots with tissue ) complete.
Side effects: abdominal cramps, bleeding, vaginal/pelvic infections, ectopic pregnancy, abnormal development of pregnancy in failure, back pain, headache, lethargy, diarhhoea, nausea.
For safe practice USG scan should be done at 14th day to confirm the stutus of abortion process (for retain product of conception)
